Nurse Practitioners
Position: The nurse practitioner is a registered nurse (RN) that has advanced education and clinical in a health care specialty area such as adult nurse practitioner or family nurse practitioner. The nurse practitioners are certified in their specialty area. The nurse practitioner practices under the rules and regulations of the Board of Nursing. Working in collaboration with a physician, the nurse practitioner provides general health care and treatment of patients, including performing physical examinations, assessing patient’s clinical problems and recommending medication or other forms of treatment.
Requirements:
- Current RN Licensure
- Nurse Practitioner Certification
- BLS
Hours:
- Clinic Hours Covering Patient Appointments
- On-Call Hours to be determined
Responsibilities:
- Perform health histories and physical exams.
- Examine patients; orders, interprets, and evaluate diagnostic tests; documents physical findings; formulate treatment plans including referrals to other health care professionals when a patient’s situation warrants more advanced diagnosis and treatment. The NP’s scope of practice is guided by the MAPS MD/NP practice agreement.
- Prescribe and manage medications for acute and chronic stable conditions. (Minnesota Law authorizes certified nurse practitioners to prescribe medications within the scope of the Nurse Practitioner Statute).
- Assess and manage chronic conditions such as depression or chronic pain.
- Collaborate with physicians and other health professionals as needed.
- Promote positive health behaviors and self-care skills through education and counseling.
- Provide health screening and disease prevention services (i.e., osteoporosis, hypertension).
- Active involvement in pursuing continuing education that promotes quality health care and pain management.
- Participation in clinical research to promote cost effective high quality health care that results in a high level of patient satisfaction.
- Contributes as a team member to a positive team focused environment.
Physician Assistants
Position: The physician Assistant has advanced education and clinical experience in a health care. The physician assistant practices under the rules and regulations of the Minnesota Board of Medicine. Working in collaboration with a physician, the physician’s assistant provides general health care and treatment of patients, including performing physical examinations, assessing patient’s clinical problems and recommending medication or other forms of treatment.
Requirements:
- Current PA license in Minnesota
- BCLS
Hours:
- Clinic Hours Covering Patient Appointments
- On-Call Hours to be determined

Physical Therapist or Physical Therapy Assistant
Position: MEDICAL ADVANCED PAIN SPECIALISTS (MAPS), a multi-disciplinary pain management clinic, has exciting FT/PT opportunities for a Physical Therapist or a Physical Therapy Assistant in our Edina clinic. Active physical therapy approach focusing on patient education, spine stabilization, pool therapy, MedX rehabilitation and Pilates, as well as opportunities in manual therapy and women's health. Excellent orientation/mentorship program. Prefer 3+ years outpatient orthopedic experience, but new grads are welcome to apply. Excellent opportunity for professional growth. Senior Software Engineer/Technical Lead
